微軟在今年Build 2013期間宣布將於Windows 8.1整合3D列印功能，為了擴大此應用市場，目前在Windows Store釋出一組簡易的3D列印應用App「3D Builder」，讓使用者能藉由現有模組直接進行列印輸出，或者進行簡易的模組調整、組合。

微軟在Windows Store釋出一組簡易的3D列印應用App「3D Builder」，配合3D印表機與Windows 8.1作業系統，將提供使用者可直接以內建模組進行列印。同時，使用者亦可針對內建模組進行客製化調整或重組，藉此打造不同3D模組內容。而所有使用過程，均不需額外安裝CAD專業繪圖軟體。

微軟在今年6月Build 2013宣布將於Windows 8.1加入3D列印功能，原生即可對應市面多款3D印表機。而此次推出免費版3D列印應用App「3D Builder」，主要也是期望能將3D列印應用市場予以擴大。
