新竹市今天開始施打狂犬病疫苗，市府準備600劑，一早7時許就有民眾抱狗貓排隊，結果近千人排隊打疫苗，市府緊急派員發號碼牌，一度發生民眾因領號碼牌吵架，警方還派人維持秩序，注射犬隻疫苗才平順。
新竹市府表示，先行曾舉行幫犬隻注射狂犬病疫苗，一周才一百多隻狗注射，怎知這次爆量，貓狗擠爆市府廣場，這次狂犬病針劑是預備600免費注射，額滿即無法再行施打。若未來疫情擴大，市府將視狀況再行採購，符合需求。
