根據一項最新調查顯示，擁有手持行動裝置的民眾，9成4使用行動上網，其中48%只用免費wi-fi，約3成使用月租費方案，使用上網吃到飽方案者僅1成5；另有約6%不上網。
104市調中心在2013年4月23日至2013年4月27日針對575位網友進行「上網需要吃到飽嗎？」調查。
被問到未來會選擇的方案，目前選用吃到飽方案者，全部會改非吃到飽，並以月租方案為主。
至於目前使用wifi者，18%會改用吃到飽方案，69%續用wifi。目前月租者中22%會改吃到飽，67%維持月租。
